Setting
up a store on the World Wide Web doesn't need to be difficult or
expensive. In fact, it can be down right easy and inexpensive! You can
actually be open for business and have shoppers from all over the world at
your store within days! There is no other medium that allows you to
compete side by side with the big guys! Best of all, you can set up your
business to run automatically with very little time on your part. And what
time you do invest, can be done from any place in the world from your
laptop and an Internet connection! What could be better than that? That is

There is a lot of e-commerce or shopping cart software
available. Pricing for this software ranges from free to thousands of
dollars. Although some of the free software actually works (believe it or
not) it gives very little flexibility. As with anything, you generally get
what you pay for. If your clients are like most, the software that will
work best for them is some where in the middle - between $250-$750.
Of course, you will want to be able to accept credit cards
as accepting credit cards can increase your sales easily by 500% or more.
To do this, you will need to get set up with a merchant

You will also want to to make sure at least the e-commerce
portion of your site is hosted on a secure
